He is also a popular Television personality and stage performance. Jayanth’s performance in Chinna Pulla (1994) along with Revathy was well received. In the movie, Jayanth portrayed a mentally challenged person. He won the Special Award from Variety for ‘Kaanal Neer’. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Kalaimamani award given by the Government of Tamil Nadu. He has directed the movie Neeye Yen Kaadhali (2010). and played a vital role in the screen play.
