Springing a surprise in industry circles, actor Aari entered wedlock on Wednesday. The ‘Nedunchalai’ and ‘Maya’ actor tied the knot with a Sri Lankan Tamil girl Nadiya, an HR professional from the United Kingdom.
The marriage took place at Sri Kalikambal temple at Parry’s Corner in Chennai. It was followed by a reception at a star hotel in the city. Friends and colleagues wished the couple a happy married life.
“Nadiya is my friend’s acquaintance. We started as friends and became lovers. We have entered wedlock with the blessings of elders in our family,” said the actor.
Aari made his feature film debut in ‘Rettaisuzhi’ (2010) produced by director Shankar, before having a breakthrough performance as Murugan in ‘Nedunchaalai’ (2014). Much recently, Aari has also played an pivotal role in the supernatural thriller ‘Maya’.
Aari, before entering films, had strong background in theatre featuring in productions by Magic Lantern, Theatre Nisha and Inland Theatres which helped hone his acting skills and also worked as a fitness trainer for actors.
