Alleging that tickets of ‘Vedalam’ have been priced high, Ajith fans in Madurai have stuck posters all over the city, requesting the intevention of Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa to bring the rates down.
In the posters, they have said, “Vedalam tickets are priced at Rs 500. The respected CM should issue orders to district collectors and police officials to ensure that the government fixed charges are collected at theatres.”
The posters, which have up come just one day ahead of the release of the film, have sparked controversy. It is expected that the government may jump into action to ensure that exorbitant ticket charges are not collected.
Meanwhile, expectations are running high for ‘Vedalam’ and fans are planning grand celebrations to welcome the ‘thala’ movie. Directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by A M Rathnam, the film has music by Anirudh. Shruti Haasan and Lakshmi Menon have played key roles.
