I am against sentiments: Vijay AntonyPublished: January 21, 2016
‘Pichaikaran’, ‘Saithaan’, ‘Yeman’, ‘Hitler’. These are the titles of the upcoming ventures of Vijay Antony, the music composer-turned-actor.
In an industry dominated by sentiments, Vijay Antony is treading a new path. “I don’t believe in sentiments. In fact, I am angry with such practices. That’s why I prefer these titles.”
Vijay Antony also says getting these titles are easy, as no one has registered them before. “Because, people fear they might die if they make a film titled ‘Yeman’ and would go bankrupt if their film’s title is ‘Pichaikaran‘. I want to break that belief.”
On ‘Pichaikaran’ directed by Sasi, he says, “I was impressed with his working style right from ‘Dishyum’ (Vijay Antony composed music for the Jiiva-starrer) days itself. So I expressed my interest to act in his direction. And he gave me this offer. The film will be so important in my career.”
