How about your first film experience?
My first film was Thilagar. It is like a period movie. Had a big scope for acting with Nellai Tamil dialect. My role is very important one. I did a lot of rehearsals and home works to do the role. The film gave the reward for my hard work. For me, Thilagar is a big lesson in all aspect.
You did your film making course in US. How it useful to your acting career?
Yes.. I done my film making course in the US. That course is based on the practices of Hollywood Filmmaking. But here the ground reality is different. Tamil cinema filmmaking is completely traditional system. But in Hollywood it is totally different. Hope my studies will useful in future.
Your experience with Kishore?
Everyone know about Kishore’s selectiveness in movies. He never accepts movies just for number count. He has completely convinced with Thilagar story and gave dates. He also complimented me for choosing Thilagar as my debut movie. After saw the movie many have inquired whether we are real brothers. That was the screen chemistry worked out between us. Kishore is really a wonderful actor and I learned a lot from that genious.
Though critically acclaimed, Thilagar wasn’t reached the mass. Why?
Yes.. it’s true. The movie failed to reached the mass. Main reason is censor certification. They award A for this movie. But apart from this, Thilagar successfully ran at southern districts. Because those audience easily adopted themselves with the movie.
What kind of roles you want to play?
I dont like to play like a regular hero with few duets and fights. My wish is to play hero in fantasy stories. A superhero like roles. If the story is different and convincing I will ready to play. Money is secondary.
Your current projects?
My next movie after Thilagar is ‘Devadass Brothers. Janakiraman is the director. Previously he worked as assistant director in 3, nayyandi and VIP. Sanchitha Shetty is my pair.
Next movie is Dwarak Raj directed Maalai Neram. Venba is my heroine.

What about your Family support?
Initially they hesitated to allow me in film industry. But after Thilagar, the are supporting me wholeheartedly.
Any unforgettable compliments for your acting?
