After a gap of nine years, Jiiva and Nayanthara are sharing the screen space once again in ‘Thirunaal’. “I am happy to work with Nayanthara after ‘Ee’. She is very apt for the role and delivered her best,” says the ‘Ko’ actor.

Jiiva, who plays a thug based in Kumbakonam, would appear in veshti in many scenes of this movie. Nayanthara plays teacher of a kindergarten school. The film is directed by P S Ramnath, who had previously made ‘Ambasamudram Ambani’.
Srikanth Deva has scored the music. The film began its first schedule in Kumbakonam in May 2015 at a grand Agraharam set. The trailer was released on for Diwali . The shooting was completed by the end of August 2015 and the post production work thereafter started.
