On his 61st birthday today (November 7), Kamal Haasan called on veteran writer Ki Rajanarayanan and honoured him. The popular actor-filmmaker presented Rs one lakh to the writer, thanking him for his contribution to Tamil literature.
Rajanarayanan is popular for his works such as Mayamaan,Gopalla Gramam and Gopallapurathu Makkal. He is widely acclaimed for bringing out the emotions of people through his stories and novels.
Meanwhile, wishes have been pouring in on Kamal from various quarters on his birthday. Film personalities, colleagues, family members and friends greeted the ‘Ulaga Nayagan’ on his big day and wished him all success.
Fans, who have been eagerly waiting for the release of ‘Thoongavanam‘ on November 10 for Deepavali, have stuck posters hailing Kamal on his birthday. They also have big plans on the release day. Today, Kamal chaired a function in which he presented goodies to the needy.
