Lakshmy Ramakrishnan seeks Vineeth’s helpPublished: March 15, 2016
Lakshmy Ramakrishnan is on the verge of starting her fourth directorial venture, which is centred on the recent Chennai floods. But before she could go to floors, she wants the opinion of Malayalam filmmaker Vineeth Srinivasan on the script.
“He is a good writer and hence I want his involvement in the project,” says the actress-director, adding that she wants to rope in the services of Mollywood cinematographer Jomon T John.
After making movies such as ‘Aarohanam’ and ‘Nerungivaa Muthamidathey’, Lakshmy is now done with her film as director- titled ‘Ammani’. It is about two women from different age groups.
Spilling the beans on the movie in an interview last year, she said, “Ammani will portray the spirit and attitude of the two unlikely friends. It is about the bond between two women — one, 57 (Salamma, played by Lakshmy), and the other, 82 (Ammani, played by Subbalakshmi, who appeared as Trisha’s grandmother in ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa’).
