Lyca denies buying Gautham Menon’s nextPublished: December 21, 2015
Lyca Productions, which is making waves in Kollywood, has denied reports in few sections of the media that it has acquired the rights of Gautham Vasudev Menon‘s ‘Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada’.
“As of now, we are involved with Superstar Rajinikanth in ‘2.0’ directed by Shankar, Vetrimaaran’s ‘Visaranai’, G V Prakash Kumar’s next heroic venture and ‘Kaththi’ remake starring Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi,” said Raju Mahalingam, creative head of Lyca.
Refuting reports which claimed that Lyca had acquired ‘Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada’ and would bankroll director Suseenthiran’s new film with Jayam Ravi, Mahalingam said, “if there is any development, we will be the first to announce it.”
The higher official of Lyca also distanced the company from Bala’s ‘Thaarai Thappattai’, stating that only Ayngaran Internatinoal was involved in it and Lyca has got no links with it.
