Mani Ratnam, the Chennai born and brought-up man, loves the city so much that he named his production house ‘Madras Talkies’. Now that his hometown is hit by floods, the director is not sitting idle in his home.
The ace filmmaker took his car, went to a departmental store, bought loads of essential items and distributed it to victims hit by floods. His act has touched many, including his wife and actress Suhasini Mani Ratnam.
“The master buying milk powder medicines baby food dettol from a pharmacy for flood victims..I’ve never seen this”, Suhasini, who too is a director, posted on her online page.
