Top filmmakers of Tamil cinema came together recently, to honour their counterpart Vetrimaaran for a great show in ‘Visaranai’, which has been winning accolades world over.
The function was organised by Mysskin, who was bowled over after watching the movie. , Mani Ratnam, Shankar, Bala, Balaji Sakthivel, K V Anand, Samudrakani, Sasi, Mohan Raja, Lingusamy and Ram among others were present and heaped laurels on the ‘Aadukalam’ matter.
Meanwhile, Mysskin has penned a letter to Vetri, in which he said, “when my friends asked whether I watched Visaranai and how was it, I broke my silence and shared my thoughts about the film. They turned mute after that.”
He added: “Vetrimaran…! My co-passenger, you have done it. You have touched the pinnacle of Art. You have created a film which will give fulfillment to your life. If Balu Mahendra had been alive today, he would have hugged you and given a peck on your forehead with immense happiness.”
Appreciating the movie more, he said, “Visaranai’ is a hard hitting genuine film. This film made me understand what Humanism is. People will cradle the film and their respect for you and your creations will increase.”
“Friend, your ‘Visaranai’ improves my film wisdom and my understanding about life,” he said, adding: “We film artists have been knocking the international arena for the past ten years. Here I am fixing an explosive coded Visaranai on those doors….Rest will be history!!!”
