Murugadoss’s next with Mahesh in mega budgetPublished: December 30, 2015
After ‘Kaththi‘, A R Murugaodss is mostly in Mumbai, shooting for his upcoming Hindi film ‘Akira‘, which has Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role. The movie is said to be inspired by Arulnidhi-starrer ‘Mounaguru’.
Meanwhile, he is gearing up for his next project, which is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual featuring top Tollywood star Mahesh Babu as protagonist. Interestingly, this movie too is set in the backdrop of Mumbai.
“Shooting will commence in April, once Mahesh is done with ‘Brahmotsavam’ and other commitments. A lengthy 60-day schedule is planned in Mumbai. The budget is over Rs 100 crore,” sources said.
While Santhosh Sivan will wield the camera, Harris Jayaraj will take care of the music department of this yet-to-be-titled flick. Tagore Madhu and N V Prasad are the producers. With this film, Mahesh eyes to cement his position in Tamil film industry.
