Nadigar Sangam files police complaint against SarathPublished: March 4, 2016
Even as it is getting ready for its general council meeting on March 20, the South Indian Artistes Association on Thursday filed a police complaint against its former office-bearers, including Sarath Kumar.
In a statement, Nadigar Sangam counsel Krishna said, “The Nadigar sangam charitable trust represented by trustee Poochi Murugan and its advocate me gave a complaint at the grievance cell at the office of the commissioner of police against 3 former trustees for misappropriation and misfeasance of the trust funds.”
He added: “The complaint was signed by Vishal another trustee and the general secretary of the SIAA. This was done based on the report of the special auditor and as per the decision of the executive committee if SIAA which is the founder is the trust.”
It may be recalled that the team led by the then president Sarath Kumar was defeated by Vishal & Co during the much publicised elections late last year. Following this, the first general council meeting wil be held this month, during which crucial resolutions are to be passed.
