Nadigar Sangam team meets CMPublished: January 11, 2016
Office-bearers of the South Indian Artistes Association (Nadigar Sangam) today called on Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa at the secretariat in Chennai today.
During the meeting, they presented her a cheque for Rs 1.10 crore towards flood relief activities. The amount was collected from members of the associations, including top stars.
Nadigar Sangam president Nasser, general secretary Vishal and other team members called on Jayalalithaa and presented the cheque. “We are happy to contribute our bit towards the government’s massive flood relief works,” they said.
As soon as the floods hit Chennai and neighbouring districts, the Nadigar Sangam team jumped into action carried out relief and rescue works, it may be recalled.’
