Nadigar Sangam to expel Sarath?Published: March 15, 2016
In yet another development to the Nadigar Sangam row, the South Indian Artistes Association has decided to send notice to its former president Sarathkumar for non-submission of accounts.
According to Nasser, president of the Sangam, “Depending on Sarathkumar’s reply to the show cause notice we will take the matter forward legally.” It is said that if the reply was not satisfactory, Sarath might face disciplinary action, including expulsion of membership.
Earlier this month, the association filed a police complaint against its former office-bearers, including Sarath, it may be recalled. “The Nadigar sangam charitable trust gave a complaint at the grievance cell at the office of the commissioner of police against 3 former trustees for misappropriation and misfeasance of the trust funds,” a statement said.
Following this, Sarath too filed one such complaint and said that he has already submitted all the audited books of accounts and documents of the Sangam to the new administration and also given replies in letter to all the questions raised by the present administration.
