Music maestro A R Rahman is all set to add another feather to his cap. He will turn a producer and the Oscar-Grammy winner’s debut production venture has been titled as ’99 songs’.
The film will be directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthi and it will feature freshers Himan Bhatt and Tenzing Dala in lead roles. Besides bankrolling the project, Rahman will also score music for it.
“Rehearsals for the movie have already started in Chennai, with lead players Bhatt and Dala taking part in it. Shooting will start soon,” sources said.
The film, it is learnt, will be simultaneously made in Tamil and Hindi. “It will be a romantic entertainer to be shot across India,” addes sources. Meanwhile, Rahman is busy as composer with movies such as ‘2.0’, ‘Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada‘, Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film etc.
