Rajamouli denies rumours on ‘Baahubali 2′Published: February 9, 2016
There were reports in few sections of the media, claiming that the shoot of ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, the second part of the ‘Baahubali’ franchise, is facing delay due to various reasons.
However, director S S Rajamouli has come out with a clarification that things are very much on track. “In fact, we are done with the second schedule much ahead than expected. Everything is going on in smooth manner,” he said.
The second part would answer the much asked question: ‘Why Kattappa killed Baahubali?’ Just like the first part, the sequel too will have Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah and Anushka Shetty in lead roles. Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, Nasser and Sudeep will appear in supporting roles.
‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, which was made on a budget of ₹120 crore (US$18 million), became the highest grossing Indian film within India in 2015 and became the third highest grossing Indian film globally. It became the first South Indian film to gross over ₹600 crore (US$88 million) worldwide and the first non-Hindi film to gross over ₹100 crore (US$15 million) in the dubbed Hindi version.
