Rajini gets advance for ‘Bhaskar The Rascal’ remakePublished: February 20, 2016
It’s no more a rumour. Director Siddique, who is popular in Kollywood thanks to ‘Friends’ and ‘Kaavalan‘, has confirmed that he and Superstar Rajinikanth would come together for the remake of Mammootty-starrer ‘Bhaskar The Rascal’.
In a recent interview, he said Rajini watched the film recently, was impressed by it and wanted to act in its remake. He revealed that they also finalised the producer and Rajini has even received advance for the project.
‘Bhaskar The Rascal‘ is a 2015 Malayalam comedy family film written and directed by Siddique. It stars Mammootty and Nayantara with a supporting cast of J D Chakravarthy, Sanoop Santhosh, Baby Anikha, Janardhanan, Kalabhavan Shajon, Harisree Ashokan and Saju Navodaya.
The story revolved around Bhaskaran Pillai (Mammootty), a business tycoon and a single parent. Bhaskaran’s sole aim is to create and amass wealth. His business empire is the result of his hard work. But his life undergoes some changes.
