Rajini – Kamal to be honoured by Nadigar SangamPublished: October 22, 2015
It seems the newly elected office-bearers of South Indian Artistes Association (Nadigar Sangam) are contemplating to honour Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan, inarguably the two top stars of the industry.
If sources are to be believed, Rajini and Kamal will be asked to take over as the honorary president and honorary secretary of the Sangam, respectively. “If they are not ready, they will be requested to become honorary advisors of the association,” sources said.
Winners of the Nadigar Sangam election, Pandavar Ani, formally took charge at the temporary office of the South India Artistes Association at T Nagar in Chennai on Monday.
Earlier, president Nasser, general secretary Vishal, treasurer Karthi, vice-presidents Ponvannan and Nasser inspected the Nadigar Sangam property on Habibullah Road.
Speaking to reporters, they said that all their promises would be kept. “Our first work is to create a database of actors so that we could reach out to them whenever needed. Our priority will be the
welfare of drama artistes.”
