Rajini to remake Kannada flick?Published: February 17, 2016
The latest buzz in film circles is that Superstar Rajinikanth, after ‘Kabali’ and ‘2.0’, will play the lead role in the Tamil remake of recent Kannada flick ‘Shivalinga’.
The Shivarajkumar-starrer movie is directed by P Vasu, who gave the blockbuster ‘Chandramukhi’ in company of Rajini. “The director is planning to remake the film in Tamil with Rajini and in Telugu with Nagarjuna. Talks are on,” sources said.
A horror flick, ‘Shivalinga’ stars Vedhika and Urvashi in key roles. The film released on 12 February. The climax of the movie was reported to be taken straight out of an Agatha Christie novel.
Shakthi, son of Vasu, has also played an important role in the film. It may be recalled that Shakthi acted in Tamil flicks such as ‘Thottal Poo Malarum’ and ‘Mahesh Saranya Matrum Palar’.
