Rajini worries over judicial pollutionPublished: September 14, 2015
Superstar Rajinikanth has created ripples by saying “if politicians become wrong-doers, there is still hope for redemption. If the citizens go wrong, recovery is possible. But if the judiciary goes wrong, there will be no hope for the country.”
Speaking at a function organised to release a commemorative stamp in honour of former Supreme Court Judge P S Kailasam on the occasion of his 100 birth anniversary in Chennai Saturday, Rajini said, “the people of this country depend on the judiciary in which they have complete faith.”
On the occasion, Rajini received the first copy of the stamp from the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court Sanjay Kishen Kaul. He also heaped rich praises on Kailasam and his wife Soundara Kailasam.
Rajini’s speech has been welcomed by DMK president M Karunanidhi, who has linked it with the acquittal of chief minister J Jayalalithaa from the disproportionate assets case by the Karnataka High court.
