Revising committee gives relief to ‘Miruthan’Published: February 12, 2016
The revising committee of the Censor Board, which viewed Jayam Ravi starrer ‘Miruthan’ after its makers opposed the originally given ‘A’ certificate, has now cleared the movie with ‘UA’.
“The officials felt that those below 18 need parental guidance to watch the movie, since it deals with zombies for the first time in Tamil cinema and there are some chilling moments. Hence they have given UA,” sources said.
Meanwhile, the Telugu version of ‘Miruthan’ has been titled ‘Yama Pasham’. Its audio, composed by D Imman, will be released in Hyderbad today by Telugu top hero Ram Charan.
Interestingly, Ram Charan will replace Jayam Ravi in the Telugu remake of ‘Thani Oruvan’, which is set to start soon. It is to be noted that the ‘Maaveeran’ actor was mightily impressed after watching ‘Thani Oruvan’.
