Simbu: Court grants relief, but fresh cases filedPublished: January 5, 2016
It was a day of mixed luck for Simbu. Even as the Madras high court made it clear on Monday that the offences for which he has been charged were bailable in nature, two fresh cases were filed against the actor-singer for ‘Beep Song’.
Granting relief to Simbu, Justice B Rajendran said that all the offences for which the actor has been charged are bailable and there is absolutely no need for anticipatory bail before the court.
He then directed Simbu to appear before the police for enquiry on January 11, and asked him to approach Sessions Court for bail plea.
The concerned magistrate shall pass appropriate orders in accordance with law on the same day as per the decision of the Supreme Court in various cases, he said.
While Simbu and his father T Rajendhar welcomed the order, two more fresh cases were filed against Simbu and Anirudh, including one in Coimbatore.
