Suriya’s super speechPublished: April 12, 2016
Suriya came out with a thought provoking speech at the audio launch of ’24’ in Chennai on Monday. While urging fans to discourage bad films of him, he asked students not to take the extreme decision of committing suicide.
In his address, he said, “Make my films a success if they are good. Don’t encourage bad films of mine. It is only when you reject such films that I will go in search of better scripts and grow as an actor.”
Talking about suicides, he said, “I came to know that even before results, many +2 students have contemplated suicide just because of a tough question paper. During my school days, I was fit for nothing but God has given me a great life. Everyone will get right opportunities, the thing is we should be patient and grab it at the right moment.”
’24’, directed by Vikram Kumar, has been made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Samantha and Nithya Menen are the heroines, while music is by Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman. Suriya himself has produced the film in association with K E Gnanavelraja.
