The 62nd National Award winners – A remarkable choice of appreciations for right talents

Every time, when the list of National award winners are announced, there happens to be a sort of  disappointments, where the Tamil genre of movies aren’t recognized and scenarios remained deplorable during the course of every year. This time, for the 62nd National Award, there seems to be a refreshing moment or say in other words, the sigh of relief as Tamil cinema has bagged seven awards that includes Bobby Simha for Best Supporting Actor (Jigarthanda), Uthara Unni Krishnan – Best playback singer female (Saivam), Na. Muthukumar – Best Lyricist (‘Azhagu’ Saivam), Best Editing Vivek (Jigarthanda), Best Regional Film Tamil – Kuttram Kadithal and G Dhananjayan, South Chief of UTV Motion Pictures has won Best Awards for his book ‘The Pride of Tamil Cinema – 1931 – 2013). Best Children film has been awarded to Dhanush-Vetrimaaran production ‘Kaakka Muttai’, which has already won the best appreciations across the International film festivals.

Best Choreography – Music Direction – Costume Design (Hindi Film Haider)

Best playback singer Male – Sukhwindher Singh (Haider)
