Kalaipuli S Thanu is far-famed for his tricky promotions to pull more crowds to the theatres and at times, it had eventually left on adverse conditions. Say for instance, he produced Vikram’s Kanthasamy, which would have been a normal movie, but with hyper promotions turned to be a bizarre.
Even then, he kept promoting that the film has made whopping collections. With Arima Nambi, he openly published the monstrous collection figure in newspaper ads as well. Now with Vijay’s Theri, he seems to be following the same techniques.
Pre-booking is nothing special as almost all the cities have been predominantly following this with the online booking hubs. SPI Cinemas and Book My Show has been consistently doing it for years and many movies have been pre-booked even before the shooting was over.
But with some additional promotions targeted at amateur Twitter bloggers, Theri has been hyper promoted in accordance to this context.
