TR conducts yagam for SimbuPublished: December 28, 2015
Veteran actor-filmmaker T Rajendhar on Sunday conducted special poojas and yagam at the Sri Vazhakkarutheeswarar temple in Kanchipuram. It is believed that offering prayers at this place would free one from legal tangles.
TR conducted the rituals for his son Simbu, who is in trouble over the ‘Beep Song’ row. Speaking to reporters in the temple town, the veteran thanked all those who have offered their support to Simbu in the issue.
Meanwhile, the Nadigar Sangam has said it will not back Simbu as he did not apologise over the song which has “hurt the sentiments of many”. The association however said Simbu will not be removed from it.
“We have been talking to Silambarasan and advised him to apologise for any hurt caused, but he has already expressed his intention to deal with the matter legally in court. There is absolutely no question of leaving Silambarasan in the lurch because he contested against us. There is no question of removing him from the Nadigar Sangam as well,” president Nasser told reporters.
Nasser added: “Simbu is like a son to me, and like a brother to Vishal. We spoke to Simbu and his family but the issue could not be resolved. We can only stand by him if he issues an apology.”
