Udhayanidhi’s ‘Gethu’ delayed, ‘Jolly LLB’ remake stoppedPublished: December 11, 2015
Udhayanidhi Stalin’s heroic venture ‘Gethu’, which was originally scheduled to hit the screens later this month, has now been postponed to January 2016.
It is said that the actor-producer did not want to release the movie at a time when many parts of Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, are suffering from the December deluge.
Meanwhile, water is said to have entered the sets of Udhayanidhi’s other acting venture, which is a remake of Hindi hit ‘Jolly LLB’. “A court set was erected at a studio in Saligramam and the place is full of water now. Shooting has been stopped,” sources said.
It is expected to resume soon. The story of ‘Jolly LLB’ revolved around the early life of lawyer Jagdish Tyagi aka Jolly and focuses on his attempt to earn 6 innocent wage earners their rights and his journey against the monopolistic behavior of the rich and judicial corruption.
The storyline is inspired by the 1999 hit-and-run case of Sanjeev Nanda and a minor reference to Priyadarshini Mattoo case.
