‘Visaranai’ to speak in HindiPublished: February 10, 2016
The critically acclaimed ‘Visaranai‘, which has also won awards in international film festivals, is going to Bollywood.
According to sources, director Priyadarshan watched the film recently and was much impressed by it. “He immediately acquired the Hindi remake rights and will soon start working on it soon,” sources said.
It is further learnt that Priyadarshan will direct and produce the Hindi version of ‘Visaranai’ in association with his good friend and Bollywood top star Akshay Kumar.
Interestingly, Akshay will be present at the media screening of ‘Visaranai’ in Mumbai on Thursday (February 11). Starring Attakathi Dinesh, Aadukalam Murugadoss, Anandi and Samuthirakani in lead roles, ‘Visaranai’ hit the screens last week.
The film was adapted from novel titled Lock up, written by M Chandrakumar, an auto rickshaw driver in Coimbatore.
