We are ready to fact it, says Radha RaviPublished: January 19, 2016
Former general secretary of South India Artistes Association (Nadigar Sangam) Radha Ravi has said they are ready to face the legal action to be taken by the association, for not submitting past accounts. “We will respond to the complaint and are ready to face it legally,” the veteran actor told a Tamil television channel.
On Sunday, after an emergency executive committee meeting, the association alleged that its repeated requests and reminders to former president R Sarathkumar for submission of accounts for previous years proved futile.
It said it would file a complaint with the economic offences wing against Sarath and other former office-bearers. Talking to journalists, Nasser, president of Nadigar Sangam, said, “As the complete accounts of the SIAA for the year 2014-15 and the accounts of the Charitable Trust for the years 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 have not been submitted with proper receipts despite three months having passed from the time former office-bearers demitted office, it has been decided to lodge a complaint against the president, secretary and the treasurer of the previous term with the economic offences wing.”
