What will Ilayaraja do for ‘Rajathandhiram 2’?Published: March 15, 2016
Even as the music composed by maestro Ilayaraja in the recently released ‘first six minutes footage’ of ‘Rajathandhiram 2′ making waves, the film’s director Senthil Veerasamy has revealed the maestro’s role in the movie.
Senthil, who is producing the sequel besides wielding the megaphone, hails Ilayaraja as the ‘King of Music’, and says, “Raja sir will score the background score for ‘Rajathandhiram 2′, as there are no songs in the movie. However, towards the release, he will give us a promo number.”
Veera, Darbukha Siva and Ajai Prasad, who played the lead roles in the first part, will be the protagonists of the sequel as well. The story, according to sources, will start from where ‘Rajathandhiram’ ended.
In the first part, the background music was composed by Sandeep Chowta. However, the single song in the movie was composed by G V Prakash Kumar. Directed by debutant A G Amid (brother of music composer Ghibran), ‘Rajathandhiram’ was jointly produced by Sunland Cinemas and White Bucket Productions. Fox Star Studios acquired the distribution rights of the film.
